Requirements for Language:

• Programs taught in Chinese: Humanities: When applying, candidates should have passed HSK4. After enrollment, a year of Chinese instruction is necessary. Upon earning their HSK5 certificate, candidates can pursue their major. One year of Chinese instruction is not required for applicants who currently hold an HSK5 certificate.
• Science and Arts (Fine Art, Music, etc.): After enrollment, a year of Chinese instruction is necessary. Upon receiving their HSK4 certificate, candidates can pursue their major. (Applicants do not require a year of Chinese instruction if they already hold an HSK4 certificate.)The
• English-taught Programs: All applicants, with the exception of native English speakers, must have a current English proficiency certificate (such as an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 60). After graduating from SNNU, students must pass HSK3.

Documents Required:

• Chinese or English versions of the Chinese Government Scholarship application form are available. Make sure you printed the hard copy and submitted it online.
• Shaanxi Normal University application form, available in either Chinese or English. Make sure you printed the hard copy and submitted it online.
• Highest diploma notarized (photocopy).
• Transcripts of academic work
• Findings from the research to demonstrate their research skills and academic accomplishments, such as published theses and award certificates.
• A research proposal or study plan (signed and written in Chinese or English). For master’s applications, this should be at least 800 words, and for doctoral applicants, at least 1500 words.
• Two letters of recommendation: Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors must be submitted by applicants.
• A current copy of a valid HSK certificate, English level certificate, or other relevant English credential.
• A photocopy of the passport (the photo page)
• Form for Foreigner Physical Examination.

Eligibility Criteria:
